About Pen Place:
The Pen Place has been Kansas City’s premier source for fine writing instruments and accessories since 1994.  Located in the heart of the city at Hallmark’s Crown Center Shops, we have catered to pen lovers and collectors from all ages and walks of life.  We believe that no matter the purpose, everyone should have the opportunity to own a fine writing instrument and that is why we have such a large array of products to choose from.

We welcome any questions or comments you may have regarding our store and site because we believe that our customers and their loyalty are the reason for our success.

Ordering Options:
We have two convenient options for you to use when ordering from our site.  You can either 1) Use our secure internet order form or 2) Call our Kansas City shop and speak directly with one our sales specialists.  For your security, we do not, at this time, accept faxed orders.

 

Security:
We realize the importance of confidentiality in our society and assure you that all personal information obtained from you, our customer, is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order and, should you choose to participate, periodic e-mail correspondence.

We do not sell our customers privacy to any outside agency.

Shipping Rates:
The Pen Place uses UPS for 99% of our shipping needs.  This service ensures that our customers will be able to track their shipments and have a reliable delivery date; however, some items are shipped via FedEx at the same rates.  The shipping rates are as follows:

Refills (Cartridges Only)            $2.50
 *When checking out, shipping for cartridges will show UPS for $6.95; however, we adjust the rate in-shop and send them USPS.  If you have used PayPal for payment, you will receive a refund for the difference.

Free Refills:
Every pen, or pencil, ordered at penplace.com will come with a complimentary refill.  If you order 6 of the same pen, then you will receive 6 free refills.  The color and width will be chosen by inventory, or, if you have added refills to your order then we will duplicate the appropriate quantity.  Should you have a specific color choice or width, then please advise in the notes section of the check-out page.

Shipping Policy:
At the Pen Place, we make every effort to keep all our listed items in stock and strive to ship all orders within 1-3 business days of receipt, regardless of shipping preference; however, orders placed after 2:00 pm on Friday and through the week-end will not be shipped until Monday.   Should we receive an order containing any items which are not available in the above time frame, we will notify you with an approximate delivery date.

*Please note that delivery dates will be determined by the date an item is shipped, not the date the order is placed.

 

Return Policy:
We have a hassle-free return policy at the Pen Place, which allows you to return any non-engraved item, for any reason, within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt.  The receipt date will be determined by your UPS tracking number.

If you wish to return an item within the thirty (30) days allowed, please be sure the item is in new condition and has all original packaging.  Call our shop at (800) 660-3051, during our business hours, to obtain a Returned Merchandise Authorization Code “RMA” and print the code on the outside of the package.  The RMA will assist us in crediting the correct dollar amount to your credit card; therefore, returns not containing an RMA will be refused.

*Please Note: Shipping charges are non-refundable and all refunds can only be credited to the account originally charged.

Warranty Information:
All the items sold at the Pen Place come with a standard manufacturer’s warranty, which protects against defects and/or mechanical issues that may arise.  This information should be within the items original packaging.  If you are unable to locate your warranty or contact information, please e-mail us at penplace@msn.com so that we may point you in the right direction.
